Yellow daisies of Bidens aristosa along Route 12. So many common names for this annual native plant:
beggarticks, black jack, burr marigolds, cobbler's pegs, stickseeds, tickseeds and tickseed sunflowers.
Sunny and bright. Here's another colony along Route 579 at the junction with Route 12.

Coreopsis auriculata A native perennial that's been "worked on" to become a garden perennial.
At Plaza One in Flemington its yellow daisies make an effective foil for Russian sage, Perovskia atriplicifolia.
Nice to have options for partners in the garden. Russian sage displays well
with purple ninebark, Pysocarpus opulifolius possibly the cultivar 'Diabolo
